His mastery of the WaveLight® FS200 Femtosecond Laser and WaveLight® EX500 Excimer Laser ensures that each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique vision needs.
Dr. Parra’s journey in medicine is fueled by his passion for helping others see the world more clearly. His expertise in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) and proficiency with SLT and LPI lasers place him at the cutting edge of glaucoma treatment, offering our patients the latest in gentle and effective care.
With an educational background as impressive as his, Dr. Parra’s top-of-his-class graduation from Baylor College of Medicine and pivotal role as Chief Resident at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute only scratch the surface of his accomplishments. His active role as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Houston College of Medicine and Optometry highlights his commitment to fostering new generations of eye care experts.
Dr. Parra is no stranger to recognition, as evidenced by his Annika Rodriguez Scholarship for his undergraduate achievements and his nomination for the ASCRS Resident Excellence Award. His volunteer work, which includes organizing vision fairs for underserved communities, speaks to his belief in accessibility and community service.
