Jacoub Hammodeh, OD
Dr. Jacoub Hammodeh was born in San Antonio, Texas. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry, at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California. He is a board-certified and Texas-licensed optometrist in the treatment and therapeutic management of eye disease and glaucoma. He is fluent in Spanish.
As part of his education, Dr. Hammodeh received advanced training in ocular disease management, low vision optometry, vision therapy, and specialty contact lens fitting at the Veterans Affair Eye Care Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also completed a corneal and refractive surgery clinical rotation at the Hoopes Vision Institute and Research Center in Draper, Utah. While at Hoopes Vision Institute, he acquired clinical skills in pre and postoperative surgical consulting for LASIK, PRK, cataract surgery, intraocular Collamer lens implants, and cornea transplant surgeries. He is a certified optometric glaucoma specialist.
Practicing alongside top refractive and retinal specialists in the Rio Grande Valley, Dr. Hammodeh developed extensive experience in managing ocular disease and complicated refractive/cataract surgeries.
